Crankle

Rank the songs on an album as you listen.

Coming soon to the App Store

How it works

  1. Pick an album

Search Apple Music for an album, artist or song and open it.

  2. Listen

Press play. Each song joins your ranking the first time it plays, or add the whole album at once if you prefer. Skip a song and the next one comes in to sort.

  3. Sort

Put songs in order from best to worst, or drop them into S to F tiers on a tier list.

What you get

  • Two ways to rank. A straight best-to-worst list, or a tier list you fill by dragging songs between tiers.
  • One tier list for everything. See every song you've tiered, across all your albums, in a single list.
  • A To Do list. Albums you've started but haven't finished ranking wait on the home screen until every song is placed.
  • Your rules. Choose whether new songs land at the top, middle or bottom of a ranking.
  • iCloud sync and sharing. Rankings follow you across your devices, and you can invite someone to a ranking with their Apple Account.
  • Themes. Some themes are free. A one-time purchase unlocks the rest, with no subscription.

Before you start

Crankle plays music through Apple Music, so you'll need an Apple Music subscription and need to allow access when the app asks. Crankle is made for iPhone.
